"Lunkerville" Honored with Three Prestigious Sportsman Channel Awards.

Rockville Pictures is proud to announce that it's television program Lunkerville has won three top prizes at the 2004 Sportsman Channel Awards.

The ceremony was held at the Palms Casino Resort in Las Vegas, Nevada on January 28.

Lunkerville airs five times a week and anchors the Friday Night Fish Fry block of fishing programs on The Sportsman Channel (TSC). In the show, award-winning filmmaker Mike de Avila travels from town to town uncovering the secrets and rituals of everyday bass fishermen. Unlike most fishing shows, Lunkerville examines the time-tested techniques and secret spots favored by these local experts.

Lunkerville is a culmination of Mike’s two passions in life: fishing and filmmaking. His production company, Rockville Pictures, has made and continue to produce feature films with some of the biggest names in Hollywood. The company also won a national Emmy Award in 2001 for it's Public Service Announcement campaign for Maryland Public Television.
