"Lunkerville" to air in Canada.
Rockville Pictures is proud to announce that the Wild TV Network will begin airing their fishing program in Canada in July, 2004.
Lunkerville is America's homegrown fishing show, with 26 new episodes produced each year. In the show, award-winning filmmaker, Mike de Avila, travels from town to town uncovering the secrets and rituals of bass fishermen. Unlike other fishing shows, Lunkerville examines the time-tested techniques and secret spots favored by these local experts.
Lunkerville is a culmination of Mikes two passions in life: fishing and filmmaking. His production company, Rockville Pictures, has made and continue to produce feature films with some of the biggest names in Hollywood. The company also won a national Emmy award in 2001 for it's Public Service Announcement campaign for Maryland Public Television.
"We are excited to extend our television viewership into Canada and look forward to our relationship with Wild TV." said Host and Producer Mike de Avila. "Our commitment to featuring the everyday angler, in his or her own community, will continue to be the foundation of our program. Our light and informative approach to each show is central to it's appeal and surely will be appreciated by our neighbors in Canada."
Lunkerville airs in the United States on The Sportsman Channel and can be seen via webcast on the Lunkerville website.
Show dates and times will be posted at www.wildtv.ca and www.lunkerville.com when they become available later this month.
