THE SPORTSMAN CHANNEL ADDS ONE TO ITS PRODUCER ADVISORY BOARD

Big Bend, WI (February 1, 2005) – The Sportsman Channel has just announced the addition of Mike de Avila, producer of “Lunkerville,” a weekly bass fishing program, to the Producer Advisory Board. The Advisory Board assists new producers, helps market the channel, and increase brand recognition. Other members include Bill Snodgrass, producer of “Hunts to Remember,” Chris Bailey, producer of “Reel Outdoors with Chris Bailey,” Greg Hopf, producer of “Greg Hopf’s Deer Quest Outdoor Adventures” and Dean Durham, producer of “Dean Durham’s Outdoors.” TSC is the first and only television network dedicated exclusively to hunting and fishing programming 24 hours a day, seven days a week.

Mike de Avila is a graduate of the Purchase College Film Program and Co-Owner of Rockville Pictures Inc.: a film and video production company located in New York City. de Avila has directed two of the seven feature-length dramatic films produced by the company, including the award winning "Burnzy's Last Call" starring Chris Noth and Sherry Stringfield. Rockville Pictures also received a 2001 National Emmy Award for Outstanding Public Service Announcement Campaign. Most currently, de Avila is the producer and host of “Lunkerville,” a weekly fishing program where everyone’s a pro with each episode featuring a local character reeling in big bass at their favorite honey-hole. Unlike other fishing shows, “Lunkerville” examines the time-tested techniques and secret spots favored by these homegrown experts. The program was recently honored with three Sportsman Channel Awards including Viewer Favorite Fishing Show and Viewer Favorite Host. “We are so excited to air on The Sportsman Channel,” state de Avila. “TSC is making the right moves at the right time and it's easy to visualize TSC as the top outdoors network very soon. The idea of an all hunting and fishing network with no infomercials or other outdoor programming is a winner in my book and we are thrilled to be a part of it. The recent awards Lunkerville was honored with along with the invitation to be on the Producer Advisory Board is evidence that our show is appreciated by viewers and industry people alike, which is a huge boost to a young show like Lunkerville. ”

Launched in April of 2003, TSC is presently available in over 11 million broadcast and cable households and is the only channel that can has 100% hunting and fishing programming.
